My VITA can stream all PS4 games though.  It already had full streaming support on all their PS4 games, and had VITA games on top of it.  If the new model only streamed games, wouldn't that be a step back?

Oh you're talking about that. Well with ps5 they offer the traditional home console for €399. Then a €99 streaming box that steams your ps5 games. And finally a Vita like device that steams the games for €199.
