Well it does because generally on a VG sales website we compare things. It shows in japan switch is selling good but way off the DS and a good chunk behind the 3ds. Things will change for good or bad but as of now that's how it stands. 

I know, the Switch will either be the best selling gaming device or the 3rd best selling gaming device in Japan.  They have set the bar high for themselves to the point where only they can seem to reach it, so it will be interesting to see if it can pass the other two.  With a big Pokemon release coming this year, it is possible but only time will tell.  It will be tough!

I suspect sales will be huge over the next 18 months or so but it's whether or not it can keep selling big into year 5,6 and 7 if it breaks those records.
