Japan is Switch's worst market, the market dominated by handhelds. Switch is well ahead of 3DS in America & Europe but far behind in Japan.

3DS sales 2011+2012, 27.4 million

Japan-9.8 million

Outside Japan-17.6 million

Switch sales 2017+2018, ~30 million

Japan-~6.8 million

Outside Japan-~23.2 million

No, if you compare the other systems, Switch is selling much more in Japan in % numbers than the other consoles and its because Japan prefer mobile. Also you are showing that 3DS sales are not very far from Switch, That shows that people that bought 3DS are now buying switch.
