Well we are not talking about GOTY editions. We are talking about reselling games again on next gen systems.
With the way the industry is moving forward, theres no point having both. If the PS5 is BC than theres no need to remaster a 1 or 2 year old game. As with Pro and X aswell as other gaming services, performance improvements are free.
Only way around that is by chopping BC out of the next gen systems, than it becomes accepted for a Remaster.
Imagine if Steam released game X in 2019, than in 2020 they announced a remaster of game X.. it doesnt work for consumers, they expect game X to be updated for free, not re-releasing it as a separate game.
