SNES+NES Mini equaled 10m at sept 30 2018, with the majority coming from SNES mini. NES mini had severe supply issues, so if you got a source for that 1m+ in Japan alone, I would like to see.

Chris on Resetera said NES & SNES mini each did over 1 million in Japan.

He is also saying that word of mouth is terrible for PS Mini so legs arent looking good.

Japan sales will definitely be poor compared to that then. Hopefully if a PS2 mini ever happens, they do it right.
