Well that is troublesome. Just like X1 also had day one editions 6m after release (of course there were new shipments in that case).

The first post with this was after my own post asking who was hoping, so nope, someone was just being dramatic on the ever "everybody hates nintendo".

This is from the 3rd post in the thread:  "And it most likely will sell a lot less than what Nintendo expected. Fortunately."  Saying something will "fortunately" sell lower than the manufacturer's expectations is very much hoping for failure.

You are right. Even if we should probably ask why the person wants the idea to fail and see if there is a legitimate reason for it.
