I like Japenese style games persoanlly. FPS games where you shoot people are boring when plodding slowly, then too instense when in gun fights, then just plain gross if you mutiliate them or something. Halo can be pretty fun though since it is arcady. I think it is mostly cultural... people are pushed to like FPS, so they play them to fit in and learn to love them.
