The longer the discussion in this thread has gone on, the more has reality been warped. I didn't call quickrick any names in the post I got moderated for. All I did was state truthfully what the situation is and that was deemed as flaming, because being accurate doesn't make it okay to say it. Protect the community and justice, that's what the mod team should do. I mean, let's rewind the tape: Doesn't the linked post look a lot like déjà-vu? Kerotan calls out a mob while quickrick plays the victim. It's always the same song and dance. Moving on...
If we keep the post I linked above in mind, quickrick already starts off with a misrepresentation. Now of course my objective changed to getting him banned, because he responded to the opportunity that had been given to him by throwing a fit over how incredibly unfair everyone is to him. There's no sincere interest from his side to change his ways. Reading further in the bolded paragraph, there's the baseless accusation that I formed a group and messaged people to complain about him. There's the accusation that I flame people left and right and get away with it, and that's coming right after I got banned for flaming; note that the part about getting away with it is another accusation of bias directed at the mod team.
Defamation is indeed flaming. Note: Inconsistency in moderation bothers me much, much more than personal attacks. This whole discussion over the past few days has been a long exercise of giving someone the benefit of the doubt despite said someone exhibiting all the traits throughout said discussion that should put an end to the benefit of the doubt. Flaming, unsubstantiated mod criticism etc. As for point B) specifically, the advice to let quickrick be the one who messes up rings hollow. I am not speaking only for myself here, but for the whole community. The leeway that quickrick has gotten has been tremendous over this past year, and even in this thread right in front of the eyes of the mod team, he is being treated with utmost care and even receiving words of encouragement. "A moderator can then step in and handle it," that's a line that's very hard to put any trust into when a discussion takes the direction it did take in this thread, and when the reason all of us are here is that the mod team didn't handle it properly for too long. Remember, I am saying this for the whole community. The credibility and integrity of the mod team is dissipating in such a situation, because the mod team comes across as looking out for quickrick, the guy who is at the center of all the problems. You've already recognized the severe inconsistency in moderation yourself, in the first post that is quoted in this post of mine. However, the likely result of the warped reality is that quickrick's words that he will try to change are believed, because this time has got to be the time where he honestly means it. And when it turns out differently (which it will), people will begin to wonder why they allowed it to let it play out that way in the first place. |
I have no interest in discussing anything with you, please i will not mention you anymore, please don't mention me, as CGI asked lets move on. I apologize for mentioning you earlier, I won't do again, please just ignore me and just report me if you have any problems.
edit: you are complaining about the mods inconsistency how do you think i felt when all i stated was the truth about you, and got a 2 week ban, for being rude even though it was the truth, you were 10x more rude and got a 4 day ban, instead of the 7 you were suppose to get.
