It's that mentality that allows for MT's in the first place. 

Also the currency is paid for in real money. 

I see no problem if a F2P game generate revenue selling skins. The top 5 PC games in revenue today are F2P games that sell cosmetic items for profit: Legue of Legends, Dungeon Figther Online, Fantasy Westward Journey Online 2, Fortnite and Crossfire.
