It's not really built or optimized for PS4, the actual game came out in early 2013 and it's minimum specs on PC are the kind of thing an Xbox 360 could handle

Eh, the game in its current state is quite a bit beyond what 360 could handle, the combined package of stuff like GPU accelerated particles, volumetric lighting, SSR, Bokeh DOF, etc is very much current gen. As I said, I personally do not agree with calling this one a "miracle", but I still think Panic Button did a good job.

Oh I don't want to come off as harsh, not saying this isn't great. It IS great, especially because it's adding more diversity to Switch's library. As a port however, I'm not extremely impressed, or even that impressed. Compared to Doom and Wolfenstein, it's not the same level, so I get kind of confused when people are so over the top in their praise of Panic Button in this regard. Though then again ... I'm mostly babbling on about other threads at this point, not this one, so I should shut up

We agree I think so I don't take issue with anything you're saying. Except, I will say, it's kind of odd to use those graphics options to show that the game is "quite a bit beyond what the 360 could handle", because I don't think the minimum PC specs could operate with all those features on either, yet it's available in that state. And the original PS4 version wasn't as impressive as this version is either. So it's not as much that the 360 couldn't handle it as it is it wouldn't have the same options.  Though .. that's the same for something like DOOM on Switch as well - a downgrade that doesn't lose the identity of the original game - so that argument kind of doesn't apply overall xD.

Anyways yeah ..... good port. Nothing disagreeable here.
