Eh, in tge post-graphics era of Minecraft, Miis and mobile, how are we supposed to judge this? Lumo, Tiny Barbarian DX and even Octopath Traveler all look very old on my Switch, but none of them are supposed to look like Call of Duty.
If I had to, I would take Lumo to task out of the three above, but how much can I criticize a game made by like three guys? If I were to restrict it to AAA games, I would have to select Octopath, but how do I really compare that to Fortnite or Skyrim?

Are you serious? I think Octopath Traveler looks great, much better than Skyrim and Fortnite.

I like Octopath's look too, but my point is, they are apples and oranges.  16 bit style applied to a 3D diorama vs 3D realistic or semi realistic games, how do we compare? If you put all three of those games up in a mall and asked randos which looks best, I am pretty sure the loser

is Octopath, but then again, maybe the retro look would get some votes. But again, my point is, in a world of Puyo Puyo Tetris, Splatoon, Final Fantasy XV, Octopath, Red Dead Redemption, Warioware, Breath of the Wild, Shovel Night, Destiny, Angry Birds, and No More Heroes, how do we decide ugliness?
