I play Euro Truck Simulator 2 all the time. That game i pretty much nothing but "drive an hour in that direction, get stuff, drive three hours in another direction". And I absolutely love it.
It all depends on the gameplay. If the gameplay itself is good, fetch quests can be fun as hell. If the gameplay sucks balls, even the best quest design on earth won't save a game.
