Since LoD is talked on this site I decided to finally play it

It holds a 74 metacritic which I would say it is about Right. Almost a full point more than how I rated the game . I just can't say it is a 10 or 9 , it had too many flaws even the world map was lacking it was like connect the dots, it wasn't terrible I still hold a copy of it for collection purposes so I didn't hate the game. I will agree on FFIX it was probably my second Fave FF, the most polished real style FF game we ever got, with a very good translation. A real 9.5-10 in my book.

In the end its just differing opinions, and I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm guessing everyone has those games they rate much higher than average, LoD just happens to be the one I always found to be far better than what the average score would suggest.

Gamespot Gamefaqs was the only place where I found some following to it, which was the first forum I ever joined back in 2008/2009, and started using to train my HORRIBLE english skills, lol, it would take me around 2 hours back and forth thinking and searching to make a post a this.

That's more or less it really. There doesn't really seem to be a general consensus about LoD, like there are for a lot of other games. Naturally people will disagree about the quality of a pretty much any game, but I'm not sure how often that opinion differs to quite as huge a degree as it does with LoD. There are other titles like that for sure, but I feel like they are much more uncommon in general.
