The Legend of Dragoon has always been a game that really divides people's opinions. Even back when it was first released the critical opinion varied from perfect scores down to low 40s at least, so it's not like this is a new thing or anything. Personally, it's my second favourite game ever, only behind Final Fantasy IX, and I've held on to that opinion since I first played it in 2001 through my previous playthrough a few years back. I can see why people might not like it, but for me there are very few games that compare to it. Just how it is with different tastes and opinions I suppose.
