Price point isn't really most important thing, big and system seller games are far more important, we already seeing this year how GoW and Spiderman moving hardware. Lower price point without. $199 for whole year definitely wouldn't be best PS4 year if they dont have some great exclusives in that year. Also worth mentioning that PS4 has already couple times has price point of $199.

Yeah but heres the thing they will have epic games. So they can do both. I'm not saying one or the other. You'll have a full year of RDR2, Spiderman and GOW pushing PS4 next year. The line up not confirmed yet but possibilities are Days Gone, TLOU2, Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsutshima. At $199 Sony literally wouldn't meet demand hence why you will see it at $249 at the cheapest. They might start the year at $299 and in February or March cut it to $249.

We will see, but if TLOU2, Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsutshima are cross gen games that will wait for PS5 launch (and its very possible that will be case), no way that they suprise 2017. or 2018. Days Gone will be much weaker than GoW and Spiderman in any case. Also depends when PS5 will announced, if that really is next year, it will cut PS4 legs in some degree in any case.
