For as popular as it was--and I loved it as a kid--He-man was a terrible show where nothing much ever happened except we got to see a lot of the same animation being used over and over (and over). I've seen He-man run toward the camera and jump roughly 17 million times. At least She-ra was interesting. Looking back, I think I was just into He-man for Battle Cat and the cool looking minions of evil. Thundarr was so much better.

That was one of a number of ways Filmation was able to get their episodes completed on time despite budget constraints. Another was to take something already animated for one episode and color it differently for another episode. I.E., He-Man fights a Red Dragon in one episode, and then later fights a Blue Dragon in a later episode.
