Now if they take that same scenario, and move it up a year to match the PS5 release, then they at least stand a chance. MS is spending money like crazy lately, which says to me they could very well build a $600 2020 level console and launch it 2019 for a 2019 level console price. As long as the specs are enough of a jump over XB1X, if it's subsidized at $500 or less, they will win some people back. Maybe not enough to level the playing field like with 360, but enough to close a portion of the gap that's been created. It's not the most likely option, but I do think it's possible. |
This would be ich a huge middle finger to X1X buyers....not sure this would do any good to the brand. It’s would rather scare people away.
