You say that and look at PC games, when was the last time you went into a video game store and purchased a PC game where it was on disk and not a steam key... I used to shop in EB years ago and it was wall to wall Pc standalone... not been like that for 10 years. Internet speeds don't matter the much when it comes to pre-order downloads/download in advance, the problem for some users is download limits rather than speed.

You have a point there on the PC scene but I have never been a PC gamer so I wouldn't know.  All I know is that I love the feeling of holding a physical copy and keeping it for collecting purposes especially JRPGs. Also my 20 meg internet is not a fun way to download PS4 titles. Even updated take long.

Oh I'm totally with you on holding a disk over digital. I'm even resorting to ordering a couple of titles from USA amazon because they only did they digital over here :(

I love collecting games (maybe too much lol).

I have 70+mb internet but I still dont want to buy a digital game and then download it, just feels wrong to me, I am old school on that, just a shame the boxes arnt as fun as they used to be.

I mean for movies and music I've changed my mind a bit, over the years I had purchased many a dvd/music cd.... I've converted dvd movies to Plex, and music I'll only get it from amazon and it's mp3 playable on any device. Still buy blu-rays though. So yeah movies/music dont hold that value in terms of boxes, but for games Im still 100% behind boxed copies. I dont mind buying old games from GOG... moved away from steam services (again non drm)
