The library will expand over time, just like the Virtual Console. I mean how was the VC back on Wii when it first launched?

Unfortunately, if you want to get more obscure and high-profile third party VC titles, I think they will be less frequent as third party companies are doing more compilations to get the money for themselves. Sega has its Sega Ages, Genesis Classics Collection, among others, Capcom just released Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and the Mega Man (and X) Collections, Konami released Castlevania Requiem, and so forth. So what we were getting then will likely not be got be what we could get if VC still existed.

So you're saying we should instead be asking for more compilations of older games?

And here's Nintendo coming up with lame-ass excuses as to why Switch Online sucks.

No, I'm just saying that third parties may not be as willing to release past games as part of the VC service because they may find it more appealing and more profitable to release compilations and collections rather than get a cut of the profits under the VC service.

And Furukawa was not making an excuse based on the link you provided me. All he just said is:

"We need to further enhance the content of the service for the subscriber base to reach a certain size, so that is what we’re working on, with the understanding that the time it will take to do so will be measured in years.”

Where is the excuse he's making? He's just saying they're working on making the service more appealing.
