If the PS1 Classic sells gang-busters, it will send a message that these devices will sell no matter what games are on there, which I think is a terrible precedent to set. I'd rather see it bomb, so that Sony will be forced to put more effort into curating a better library of software next time. If they went with a stronger line-up of games like the NES & SNES Classic's both have, it would have been a no-brainer purchase for me. I spent a lot of time playing and enjoying my first PlayStation, and I would have gladly bought a classic version of it that is representative of those experiences. Unfortunately, what they are putting on the market right now is a definite pass for me. |
I am very disappointing with it as well, but it's not like that if it doesn't sell well, they will revise it or something like that. So with that mentality, I just hope it does well. Plus, it will be hacked in 24 hours, so we will be able to have any ps1 game on it lol
