It's going to be interesting to see how BotW and the other evergreen Switch titles (Kart, Odyssey, Splatoon 2) sell over the Christmas quarter - how many new Switch owners will pick them up? Is the ongoing attach rate going to stay the same in this Christmas quarter? For example, if Nintendo shifted 9 million Switch units, you could expect around 30% to pick Zelda up if that attach rate stays the same as the last few quarters - so that would be another 2.7 million copies sold. |
Adding the Japanese sales number that we know of to VGC's numbers (VGC were like 300-400k behind or so) we get a figure of about 1.7m but that's with out any update to western numbers and digital so it could be passed 2m on Wii U at this point for all we know.
