The evidence all seems to check out.
Which makes the whole thing a little disappointing to me for several reasons.
If they're going with a series first, and having characters from a franchise that didn't originate in Japan (and one owned by Microsoft, no less), I'd have liked for Nintendo to get to reveal that themselves.
And while I appreciate most of the additions and ommissions, I have no idea what Shadow is doing in there. I'm really not feeling it for him. I realize he's easier to add than Tails (or Eggman if they are going for villains) but really. Nobody likes him. And we've got enough evil echos already with Dark Pit, Dark Samus, and YES also Wolf and Ganondorf. If they're not to be considered echoes, give them proper movesets.
That's my bile. Fun research on this one though. Good job, internet.
