Very interesting idea, the first ones which come to mind are Tony Hawks HD and THPS5 both of those games had the potential to be great and just fell apart completely, If both had been handled correctly they could have absolutely been amazing titles which could have brought back the original titles from the PSone in new and wonderful HD graphics then THPS5 could have built upon the HD groundwork and expanded it in a way the numbered sequels had before, 2 bringing the manual, 3 brought us reverts, 4 bringing spine transfers..... 5 brought us... regret.
