There’s a bit of overlap in the markets, but AAA games typically aren’t in high demand for Nintendo platforms. It’s like trying to sell avengers at the local indie cinema: a film like Vertigo or Mulholland Drive will do a lot better. While some viewers in that crowd may enjoy superhero films, it’s not the bread and butter of that particular audience.

Games that work on Nintendo platforms tend to be more quirky, creative, and often with good local multiplayer functionality. While Nintendo gamers appreciate nice graphics, the definition of “nice” can mean 8-bit style sprites rather than something that requires 20 gigs of GPU ram to display. In contrast, games that do well on Nintendo consoles don’t tend to do as well elsewhere. Steam is probably the biggest competitor to Nintendo in much of the software that excels on Switch.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
