I just upgraded from a 50" 1080p led dlp to a 65" 4k led. The Denon receiver upscales to 1080p and then the Q7fn upscales that to 4k, if I understand correctly, that is. I have yet to play DOOM again, on it...but Wolfenstein looks great imo...so I can't make a call from a visuals perspective just yet.
The story is obviously much deeper for Wolfenstein and it suits the game well.
From a gameplay angle, I'd have to say DOOM all day. The movement is smooth as silk as very fast. But it's arcady and supposed to be less realistic I guess. I am enjoying Wolfenstein for sure, but moving through the levels feels a lot more of a chore and less intuitive if that makes any sense.
Someone else said it, and I think they are right on. Wolf is a good port of an ok/good game. DOOM is a good port of a great game (imho). So far, I guess I'd have to give the nod to DOOM.
