The game had a bigger playercount day 1 than ww2 so ww2 probably had a bigger day 2 so they are close In sales and Bo4 will have a bigger legs and best selling this gen. Also the game isn't futuristic, everything in the game we have today. Also only 1.6% of players beat BO3 campaign.

Player count does not equal sales. You have to remember that WW2 released closer to Christmas, so there would have been a good many copies bought to go under the Christmas tree, copies that weren't opened for weeks afterward. Beating WW2 on player count does not mean that it beat WW2 on overall physical plus digital sales. Acti would have announced it if it had.

It's definitely semi- futuristic, it's set sometime between Black Ops 2 (2025) and Black Ops 3 (2065) from what I've read. There is definitely futuristic tech that doesn't exist in real life, I remember in the multiplayer reveal trailer there was a batman style grappling hook, a riot shield that grew in size using robotics and could be used for a ground pound attack, some kind of sonic wave incapacitating device, trip mines with triangular shaped detection grids, radar darts, and a healing device that let you paint teammates and heal them.

Black Ops campaigns suck, so that doesn't surprise me. 25% beat the WW2 campaign on PS4, and 50% beat the first mission. Some of the other CoD campaigns that are good like MW2 have even better completion stats if I'm not mistaken.

1. WW2 came out the first Friday in November way before black Friday so I doubt most people had it as a gift already.

2. The setting is a few years in the future but everything in the game we have today so you really can't call it "futuristic "

3. Black ops 3 is the best selling CoD this gen and has the lowest completion of the campaign so it shows campaign does not matter to black ops fans.
