It's Megiddo that has short memory, as the PS4 had many deals in december (PS4 slim -50$, Pro even -100$; keep in mind it's normal price back then was still 449$), and yet got trounced by the Switch both in the US and Worldwide even though their big holiday title was a C-list (by Nintendo sales standards) RPG.

The PS4 slim was on discount for a week (17 - 24) for $249 during December. A permanent $199 price point is a whole different animal. Especially for a 5YO console.

Ok but I dont think a permanent $199 price point for December was ever stated by anyone so I dont see how that's a counter point.
