I don't even like typing out the word r-a-p-e; it's such a disgusting word. Although I'd be willing to bet that people do tend to exaggerate their claims when it comes to it. When I hear the word, I picture a stranger chasing down a girl and performing the act while she kicks and screams. In reality, I would think most cases are with close friends and the victim may not have even deemed it r-a-p-e at the time it happened. Maybe the girl was slightly resistance but still followed through, and then in the aftermath she realized that she made a mistake and then blows everything out of proportion (no pun intended). (Too soon?)
