Yeah, it's the same reason why I'm in no rush to get to Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I liked the first two games, but by the end of the second Lara's story hadn't really moved anywhere, and it doesn't seem like that's going to change  with this one. Having just finished it, I can tell you that there is alot of character development for Lara in this game, certainly more than she had in the first 2. Shadow isn't written by Rhianna Pratchett like 2013 and Rise were. Moderate spoiler: She starts the game as basically a killing machine who will do anything to stop Trinity, and by the end she lets go of her anger and decides that it is her job to protect the world's mysteries, rather than to solve them, becoming the Lara that we know from earlier games.
