I'll respond to this just in case you really can't see what you're doing.  You said you want the process to drag out and end in the most polarizing possible way.  Even if everything you said about the Democrats was true, they'd still at least be working towards a goal (stopping Kavanaugh).  What's your goal?  Adding more drama to the situation.  You want to taste the bitter tears of those who honestly think Kavanaugh is a terrible candidate.  Pure schadenfreude.  If you can't see this is a toxic attitude, I don't know what you would think is one.

And the fact that you don't distinguish between "I hate what you are doing" and "I hate you personally" underlines what is wrong with you.

And how is destroying a man’s life, career and reputation just because he is a Trump appointee or that you don’t like his politics (or whatever reason) any less toxic? Because that is what the democrat policiticans are doing (and that is what the other half of the argument is supporting).

You also have to able to look at it from both perspectives and know that there are people here that do not believe Ford and consider Kav innocent (or at least do not accept the evidence brought forward to be convincing).

And I I’ve literally seen TV shows (SNL for one) literally laughing at Kavanaugh’s plight (not even considering the possibility of him being innocent). That’s pretty much pure schadenfreude as well, isn’t it?

The fact that the FBI "investigation" was a total sham is pretty good circumstantial evidence in favor of Ford's testimony. Also, basically all of his friends from his time at Yale have come out against his nomination, which is also telling, as well has over a thousand law professors and the freaking Bar Association. A former conservative justice has also come out against his confirmation.

Just Kavanaugh's behavior during his hearings should prevent him from ever being on the bench again. He's acted like a spoiled child. Is that really the kind of person you want on the Supreme Court?
