There is a long, long, long list of things Beloved Leader deserves criticism for, but this isn’t one of them. This is just an emergency broadcast system designed for the most common of modern communications technology. They had it for television. They had it for radio. And the Ghost of King George didn’t take your guns away or whatever it is you think tyrants do.
If Dear Leader abuses this, go and call him out on it. Add it to the lengthy list of reasons why he is manifestly unfit for any position of authority. But there’s currently no reason why this Alert System should be a partisan issue.
