It's not that I no longer used my 3DS, its that I no longer owned a 3DS.
When Switch pre-orders went up there was nothing announced for 3DS that i was interested in and Gamestop was giving an extra $50 if you traded a 3DS in for Switch so I went with that deal.
A few months later they announced Samus Returns but it was too late, I no longer owned the system it was released on. If it released anytime from 2011-2016 I would have bought it day 1 or even if they announced it before I traded my 3DS i would have kept it a bit longer.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
