Is Nintendo Switch really a success?

The beauty of taste and opinions. I think Nintendo Wii was outstanding in the first 3 years, and it was "only" a Home Console. In the end it depends on how we perceive success.

For Nintendo Switch, I believe success will be measured extensively, as Nintendo themselves are hoping for a longer lifespan (longer than the average Nintendo console, home or handheld). As Nintendo Wii's sales plummeted very fast starting fiscal year '10, Switch could win slow and steady. 

It's a marathon, really.
