France is the second largest market in Europe by quite a bit, but S.E.L.L. do a really terrible job of supplying the GfK French charts. Why does it take so long for them to post it, and why is it only the top five? Compared to what we get from ELSPA in the UK it is pathetic. We even get far better from much smaller markets like Sweden.
How do the game stores display their games in France? I haven't been to the UK in a while, but many stores have that week's top 40 displayed in order. I guess this is impossible for French retailers to do? Or do they just use their own sales figures and each chain has it's own top 10/20/30/40 etc?
It's really weird why French charts take so long, Chart-Track receive POS data daily from their tracked stores in UK, surely the same should be true for GfK France? It's certainly true for Netherlands, GfK supply the charts the very next day after the week ends.
