Like if you were at the helm to create your own Pokemon game would you not want to do something different or you'll just copy what Gamefreak has already been doing? |
Innovation can be done in others areas than the battle system. Would you want to make a compatible action rpg move set for 900 Pokemons? It's not that people do not want change, it is that changing the system would be a hassle, especially when it has worked for 2 decades and has a competitive scene.
