Well looks like the Switch has stabilized, they aren't great sales but not bad either. It's only 1 and a half years old and it's doing ehhh. As long as the console has weak third party support (definitely never will have good third party support) and a bad games calendar the Switch will do pretty much this, which is ok.

"Ehhh" isn't how I'd describe it. They're good sales. The only other consoles to clearly outpace the Switch in their second year in the U.S. were the PS2 and Wii. I guess compared to them, everything else could be described as "ehhh," but those consoles were absolute beasts in their best years.

Yeah, it's too bad with all the secrecy regarding US sales numbers.

Long live Media Create, Growth from Knowledge (GfK), etc.

I agree. I wish Media Create would open a U.S. branch to track sales here. Hell, if I had the money and business acumen to do so, I'd contact MC and try to help do just that myself. NPD's secrecy is frustrating, especially after years of transparency. Meanwhile, it's easy to find box office revenues, home video sales, book sales (to an extent), and other sales figures that aren't tracked and published by NPD.

and to think that NPD used to give exact sales numbers too.
