The one thing that makes me happy about this port is that it means that the 2D Mario team has been actively working on something since the end of 2015 and it isn't a NSMB game. I don't know if that thing is the next step in 2D Mario, a new Mario Maker game, Pikmin 4 or a new IP but whatever it is has probably gotten a proper 3 year development cycle and will probably be released in 2019.
