The service is going to move forward no matter how much we complain or sign petitions. Compare making no money off of 20 million users getting free online to making some money off of 1 million paying and you'll see why Nintendo doesn't care. |
If only a million people... even let's say 2 or 3 out of 20 purchase the service... no matter how much money Nintendo makes: it will be a failure for both themselves and the investors. Im pretty sure both parts expect a significant percentage of Switch owners to purchase the online service. That means they expect a minimum amount of profits. What happens if they don't even get close to those numbers? I'll tell you what happens: they'll have to reconsider their strategy.
