10/10 - Easily the best direct since E3 2013! Wonder why they didn't just make this their E3 direct, but eh who cares about that now, this more than makes up for that blunder! Wasn't perfect of course, the online segment while it had cute animation didn't provide anything we didn't already know, but I expected as much.
From a personal perspective, naturally Luigi's Mansion 3 and Animal Crossing are the biggest highlights, but I also loved the Final Fantasy stuff, loved finally seeing Yoshi's Crafted World, liked the look of Town and seeing more Daemon X Machina, and of course, Isabelle in Smash! Getting version 4 for Splatoon 2 is good though the trailer was hella vague, but learning that Mario Tennis Aces will get more than just character updates was a neat surprise. 3DS had nothing of interest for me but thankfully it was short.
Business wise the direct is equally as awesome and makes Nintendo's future look hella bright! The new bundles will likely be hits during the holidays, plus NSMBUD releasing in January all but confirms the 20m shipped goal will be met. 2019 software line-up is already looking just as good as 2017's imo and it's not even 2019 yet! Switch will absolutely dominate next year! Begrudgingly to admit, the payed online will also be making Nintendo millions of free cash. Just have to hope they put that money to good use.

It's not "anti-Nintendo", it's honesty. They showed a grand total of ZERO games of interest to me. I WANT reasons to buy a Switch, but they're not giving me any other than Fire Emblem. |
