Now I'm wondering if we're going to have a similar wait time for the VII Remake. Has SE said something since its announcement?

I don't remember, but what I'm wondering is why are they skipping Final Fantasy VIII in the Final Fantasy re-releases. Skipping Final Fantasy XI makes sense because it's an MMO.
