Vern from Resetera (reliable insider) said that he knows for sure about 3 3rd party games from Direct that are similar strength/scope of announcement of CIV6, and another one that he isnt sure if will be in Direct, he also dont want to confirm is CIV6 is one of those 3 games.

So we should get at least 2 more bigger/good/interesting 3rd party announcement in Direct.

I remember Vern did teased GTAV like a year ago, so I wonder if its finally time to see that port.

I am not sure, but he also talked how currently biggest problem for big 3rd party games are size/cost of Switch carts, so becase of that some games were delayed even cancelled.

Also Emily Rogers said that 2019. is shaping to be stronger than 2017. even it will hard to be beat Zelda BotW + Mario Odyssey.

LOL you edited this in as soon as I replied to you. But anyways with what we know about post 2018 games, I believe her.

We got confirmation of the following

Yoshi's Craft World

Fire Emblem Three Houses

Pokemon Gen 8

Year hasn't been confirmed, but still likely for 2019

Metroid Prime 4

Bayonetta 3

Rumored Games

Animal Crossing

Prime trilogy HD collection

Star Fox Grand Prix

Plus third party stuff like SMTV, Doom Eternal, Daemon x Machina, and I imagine there a quite a few we don't know about yet that will be reveal of the course of the next 12 months.

Yeah, possible games are also Pikmin 4, Mario Maker 2, Lugis Mansion, some kind of Zelda (2D, remaster)... with some Wii/WiiU ports with definatly more and bigger 3rd party games than we having this year not to mention 2017. and some 3rd party exclusive, and potential for 2019. is huge, and we could really easily had stronger year than 2017.
