That's quite a naive perspective. Ignoring an issue isn't going to make an issue go away.

Naive? Hardly. I am a minority, I know exactly what I am talking about, don't assume my naivety when you have zero clue about me or my background.
There wouldn't be an issue if people weren't making a big song and dance about it. (Both for and against)

A good current example of that is the indifferent attitude of the government towards neo-nazism in a certain German county and that has allowed neo-nazism to become more prevalent. As the saying goes, evil triumphs when good men do nothing. It's easy to say that all issues would disappear if every single person on this planet would be perfect, but you should know that the world doesn't work this way.

Way to conflate multiple issues.

Also, it's clear from the short video that Morgan Freeman is upset because of something else, namely the suggestion that he should be happy about the existence of the Black History Month.

The point that he is trying to convey is that there wouldn't need to be a Black History Month if people would stop focusing on various individualistic descriptors and started treating and seeing everyone as equals... Because at the end of the day, we all bleed the same colour of blood.

RolStoppable said:

The point he is really making is that there shouldn't be such a thing as a Black History Month because that's reverse racism; essentially, Black History Month came into existence to give credit and acknowledgement to black people, but Morgan Freeman rejects that.

It's far from reverse racism. He wants equality.

RolStoppable said:

He doesn't want to have Black History Month because it treats black people as a special kind. What he wants is that black history and American history are seen as one and the same, because that way the color of the skin becomes irrelevant and that's what's necessary to put an end to the fixation on skin color.

And I fully back him on that.
Just like I believe all these LGBTQI+ "pride" events to be rather superfluous.
People need to stop pointing out their skin pigmentation, gender, sexuality... A person is more than those individual descriptors, they are human beings and should be treated and seen as the same as everyone else.

What you take away from the video is really not what he was getting at.

That is your opinion. I strongly disagree.

I use this logic, try to spread it but it always falls flat. Not sure if it was Morgan Freeman who imparted it on me but man did he word that brilliantly and it comes off as wise beyond, even his years then. It's almost like it was a script written by a Tibetan monk. I often forget he is intelligent and godly of camera as he is on it.

Morgan Freeman just has one of those "personalities" which allows him to get a message across rather eloquently.

We have taken your concerns onboard and will cite' them at a later date.

Yup, Morgan Freeman is exactly right. And he is one of the people who should know as well, not some random white guy.

This current SJW way of seeing people as groups and dividing them by their superficial characteristics is actually extremely counterproductive to weeding out racism and and other ills. Not only is it an absurd and frightening return to racial segregation (very literally in some cases), it actually *is* all those things that they accuse other people of. It's racist, sexist, homophobic and such. People are seen as groups instead of individuals, and that's actually pretty much the definition of racism. It only serves their worldview of victims and oppressors that they need to keep rolling, or their bottom will fall off. all this is based on some Marxist theories heavily applied, it's a whole can of worms in the academic circles that you can look up on Youtube if you like. The real world does not reflect their twisted view of things. These people need to keep talking about race and such and fanning the flames, because otherwise it might just happen that people forget about race and other similar characteristics, and treat each other as individuals.
