Definitely the reboot series. The original series was a classic, but it hasn't aged well and is hurt by its last two entries being really poor, and the first Crystal Dynamics trilogy got off to a really good start with Legend, only to completely crash and burn with Underworld, which I'd actually argue would have been even worse than Angel of Darkness if not the latter also being so hopelessly broken and bug-ridden (Anniversary was okay, but nothing that special or memorable).
