We can only hope if and when Luigi's Mansion sells poorly that they'll understand the majority has moved on. Just look at Captain Toad's sales-numbers on this site

I think the remake (or demake, if you want to call it) was already in development by the time Switch was launching. Not much more they could do. It’s not as simple as “just make it on Switch!” I think it’s also developed by Next Level Games so simply telling to to develop an HD game, in which they haven’t done outside of Captain America, doesn’t seem that simple.
