360 had something similar but by the time you paid it off, I think it cost way more than just buying a console. Some guys did the math back then. Plus you had to make a down payment of like $100.
This is, I'm, a better deal. Mainly because I think Game Pass is a great deal. You can walk in with nothing and walk out with a console. Subscribe to game pass and XBL and after a certain amount of time (two years?) the hardware is yours forever. Pretty much the same deal you get from a cell phone provider, cable company, or Internet provider.
