By the end MHW would probably inch over 12 million, GT Sport will get over 5 million, FF15 will probably get to at least 8.5 million, and RE7 could get to 6 million. The 3M figure for Nier was before the Xbox version, so 3.5 million will come easy. Dragonball Fighterz is selling well and will probably get it's own spot in that list.

Plus Kingdom Hearts 3 and Sekiro are coming.

I understand that which is why I said its doing marginally better. Currently its well behind last gen but by the end I expect it to be slightly ahead but not quite the same as what people expected.

It did get a lot better in quality though, so there is that.

Last official figures were as of September 2015, 6 months after release. Its definitely above 2.8 million but I'm only citing the latest official numbers.

For that matter Dark Souls 3 sold 3 million in 2 months, which is the last official figures we have, so it could possibly be at 3 in the top sellers of this gen.

I didn't ignore anything. These are all official sales figures.

Didn't know you had to be a dick to someone for being non inclusive towards Nintendo. They are a different beast from the rest of the Japanese industry and its a lot harder to classify what is which gen, are the Wii U and Switch both 8th gen, is the Switch 9th gen, are Wii and Wii U 7th gen. There is of course that the performance of other Japanese developers would be hidden by Nintendo's dominance in the charts if I had included them.

1) Not looking at individual publisher perspectives but the top sellers from all developers.

2) Sega still has a way to go before their games sell enough to make it to suck a rank.

3) Dark Souls was a last gen game and it definitely did amazingly well in sales. Tekken has declined slightly compared to last gen, Soulcalibur is dormant and I don't know if 6 will sell as well as 4 and 5 released in a crowded window this fall, and Dragon Ball has largely benefitted from finally having some effort put into the games this gen, both Xenoverse and FighterZ are better than Raging Blast, and the series has regained popularity due to Super.

4) Yes, FF 15 is doing well, which is why its 2nd on the rankings.

5) I know, but is the Switch 8th gen because if it is where does that put the Wii U. More importantly for Nintendo, see my response to the guy above.

I also read that the Yakuza series started becoming more popular in the west with Yakuza 0, so Sega seem to be doing well on that front as well.

It is doing well, but its not even at a million. Good for a AA game but nothing amazing.
