I am surprised how big of an improvement this is to ND Cube's previous Mario Party games. None of the other games ever really held my interest, but I am fairly excited for this one.

Nonetheless, I do still have two complaints:

1. I am disappointed that the online mode is limited just the mini games as opposed to being able to play the board game.
2. I think the river survival mode looks fun, though it would be nice if there were different tracks (I know it has multiple paths, but I imagine it will start to feel repetitive quite quickly as visually it would be similar).

honestly the lack of an online party mode makes a lot of sense. not everyone has the best wifi connection (just look at Splatoon and Mario Tennis Aces) which could lead to people dropping out in the middle of games, or even ragequitting early in the game, ruining the fun for eveyone. sure, you could limit it to friends only, but at that point its probably better to just plan a time to play in the same room with everyone
