That ending move was either complete BS or did he throw him, and then up smash him all at once? Either that or they were so high that a single up smash knocked him out of the arena at 70% damage.

Well that's Diddy's classic up throw > up air combo. It's rarely a guaranteed kill, because the up throw stops connecting into the up air just around kill percentage, but of course, it's a different story if you start it on a platform, because being closer to the ceiling blast zone means you can kill at lower percents, at which it just connects. Since Diddy had a lot of rage (a multiplier that makes your moves stronger if your damage is high), it was always a guaranteed kill.

It's not really BS, because this is one of Diddy's most well known and common kill options, ultimately it was Raito's mistake to fall on top of the platform rather than on the ground where he'd have been safe.

Edit: and yeah, welcome to competitive Smash. It's not just about killing your opponent when they're past 100% or 110% or whatever. Part of what makes the game so cool is that you can always kill your opponent even at crazy low percents if you play it right (well, it can depend on loads of factors, but it is possible), or conversely you can survive up to 200% if you manage to avoid getting hit by any given kill move.

Ok yeah that's completely fair then. I wasn't sure if the guy got KO'd by a simple Up Smash from 60% DMG (which would have been BS) or if it was a throw + smash combo. It happened too quickly for me to tell. I didn't even know about the rage effect. Honestly I barely got into Smash 4. I didn't buy it until a few months before Switch came out, and then it became apparent that it was going to get ported so I sold it. I probably only played 30 hours.
