It is easy when it feels like you are paying only to get the game early with less content. Plus there are more interesting games to get before then anyway.

It all depends if you are looking as having less content buying now or more content buying later. If a game presents all necessary right now I don't think like paying more for less, But very few games I feel the urge to buy close to launch so I can understand you wanting to wait.
