Can Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Sell 12mil Lifetime (or close to it)

And how is it a decline when it’s one of the top selling Mario Kart? Was Mario kart ds? Or 7 a decline? A flop? 

Everything since MK Wii has been a disappointment. Cant say flop since they sold well, but the decline has been severe. I could see Wiiu+Switch selling 22-23 mil max, which is decent, but still a pretty rough decline.

Imagine if you were in charge of game development. "Well, this game sold 20 million copies. It's in decline from the last one that sold 30 million." In what dimension is 20 million a disappointment? Do you realize how few games have sold that much?
